7 years of HRE: Journey of making roots, readiness for expansion, and a day full of enjoyable events

Isn’t it special when everyone on the team pauses for a moment, reflects together on how far they have come, has some fun, gets on the same page about where they are heading, and agrees to go further with clarity, energy, and passion? We had this epiphany exactly on this 7th of August, and of course that was a time to celebrate. We, HRE, celebrated our 7th anniversary at “Godavari village resort”, 7 miles away from HRE’s premises, a quiet, scenic place full of greenery and picturesque views. We enjoyed the day, realizing our roots are made up of people embedded in a value-driven culture, talking about relationships, willingness to go forward, and full of joyous moments.

HRE was established in 2019 with a focus on providing quality structural engineering services to clients, which we are passionate about. This clarity helped us avoid distractions along the way. We started our journey with a team of four; our values helped us define who we are as people, defined our culture, attracted like-minded people, and we have now grown to a team of 22. “Because of our people’s support and collaboration, we were able to complete our 7 years and are confident that we will reach even greater heights as we continue to grow,” as stated by Anuj Shrestha, program host, in his opening remarks. Following the session, we watched a surprise video message full of love, care, and appreciation from one of our valuable clients. Tamarack Grove Engineering wished HRE success and growth, representing mutual trust and warm relations between us. We were cheering and applauding while watching the video and took some time to talk about our efforts on how we could maintain and upgrade our relationship. The combination of our people and passion is the root upon which trusted relationships with our valuable clients flourished and shows our readiness to take it to the next level. Nirdosh Bhandari briefed about our efforts in expansion and showed some possible achievements and engagements with a new client in Arizona. Dhiraj Roka, in his closing speech, shared the bold and audacious goal of growing the team to provide an opportunity for 100+ passionate individuals in the next 10 years.

To keep going forward and to sustain our accomplishment, a team with strong leadership is a must. We recognized and congratulated Abhishek Nidhi and Anurag Joshi for being promoted to Team Leader and Technical Director positions, respectively, and now have the responsibility for mentoring and developing future leaders as we continue to grow. Rajeev Bajgain secured “employee of the quarter” with his outstanding performance and living by HRE’s core values. Additionally, winners and organizers of “World Cup prediction” and “HRE day organizers” were also recognized. Anurag Joshi and Rustam Pradhananga inaugurated HRE’s local intelligent model “INFINITE AI” and also shared it on the screen, demonstrating its capability. Thus, we celebrated promotion and recognition events that reflected the personal and professional development of our team members, including some innovation that is happening here at HRE. 

Also, we shared our stories and experiences both in formal and informal sessions. First, Subash Singh, discussing his one-year journey, said that he never felt bored and praised the care provided by the Team Leader during the Gen-Z protest in September 2025 while staying at home and considered HRE to be the best outsourcing company in the context of Nepal. Later, Nirdosh Bhandari assured that HRE will always strive for the economic, social, mental, and physical well-being of all team members and expected HRE’s growth in all respective areas. Then, Rujan Pokharel shared his opinion about the learning environment in the office and wanted to see a growing and stable HRE surrounded by competent people. Then, Sumit Shah shared a homely and positive office environment at HRE and some funny stories. Further, Shyamsharan Bhandari shared his experience with beautiful quotes and recommended HRE as the best environment to work in. Furthermore, Anuj Thapa, employee of the year 2025, credited his success to his colleagues and seniors, and Divesh Mainali thanked the HRE family for teamwork and reiterated the importance of adopting core values - do the right thing, better every day, win together, think outside the box- and core focus with team unity. Next, Abhishik Nidhi shared that he had always worked with dedication and honesty and also encouraged everyone not to hesitate to ask for help from seniors and friends when needed. Furthermore, Anurag Joshi shared that Artificial Intelligence(AI) is paramount in sectors like engineering, medicine, social science, and philosophy for gaining and disseminating knowledge and was confident that everyone has the capability and could benefit from AI if used wisely. We considered how HRE is leveraging AI, for instance, in areas like responding to technical queries, making presentations, drafting emails, and organizing our processes in an efficient manner.

At the end, we had an amazing evening with our family, friends, and guardians, enjoying every bit of music, with a cocktail of singing, dancing, and clapping that continued for a couple of hours; finally, with some fatigue and a great time with each other, we ended the day. The next morning, right after breakfast, we attended two hours of yoga sessions; Dr. Chintamani Gautam, the Guru taught us the importance of balancing our thoughts, experience, will, and expectation with practical realities of life. We felt like our mind, body, and spirit were all balanced. After having a warm meal and some leisure time, we returned home with a clear sense of purpose, as reflected in the “drone shot” where all of us are approaching a banner. It feels like everyone is walking in the same direction, keeping in mind our roots, with focus, values, and eagerness to go forward. What an incredible day! Happy HRE day!!
